Can I hire a bike?
We do not hire bikes; we offer led rides throughout the New Forest on our specialist bikes. We make sure you do not get lost and have trained mechanics riding with you just in case you need us. 2-wheel bikes and some facilities for children can be hired from www.cyclex.co.uk www.forestleisurecycling.co.uk www.thewoodscycling.co.uk
Do I need to book?
Yes, all of our rides need to be booked in advance, you can book one of our open sessions by clicking here to book. If you would like to book a private ride, please contact us for availability
Does my carer need to ride with me?
If you need support from a carer they will need to ride with you, this may be on a tandem or individual bikes.
What are my responsibilities?
Either yourself, parent or carer are responsible for behaviour, and any first aid whilst with us. we do have first aid trained leaders and volunteers who carry a first aid kit to assist you if needed.
What should I wear?
Please wear clothes appropriate to the activity and the weather, please no open toed shoes/sandals or flip flops. We ask all riders to wear a helmet unless there is a medical reason for not wearing one, you can bring your own or borrow one from us.
Where do you do you ride?
Our rides are in the New Forest on the off-road cycle tracks away from traffic amongst nature. Most rides are from Burley however we do also ride from other New Forest locations.
What is the age limit?
Age is not a limit!
Do you have to have a disability?
No, Inclusive cycling is about everyone being able to ride regardless of any barriers, we have 2-wheel bikes as well as specialist bikes, for people wanting to improve confidence or enjoy cycling with others.
What bike would be suitable for me?
In short, we don’t know! This is why we ask all to attend one of our Starter Sessions which are free of charge (Click here to book) before booking onto a Guided Ride. (Click here to book) At a Starter Session you will have the opportunity to try out all the different bikes we have to see what would suit you best.
Can I bring my family?
Yes, we encourage families to all come and ride together, either on our bikes or if you prefer you can bring your own.
How many people can ride?
We ride in small groups up to a maximum of 10 people which includes carers. If you would prefer to book a private ride, either 1-2-1 or for a Group Ride (Click here to book) on your own, please contact us for availability.
Can I book more than one session?
Yes, we encourage groups to book block sessions (6 rides) at a time this works out more cost-effective and encourages people to keep riding and improving health and wellbeing.For our Guided rides you can only book one ride at a time, but this dosen’t stop you booking more than once.
